Typical Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So while LoLa was off getting her photo taken with Robin Williams the Professor was standing there with Robin's date.  "Does anyone ever ask you for your photograph?" he asked.  "No," she said, "he pretty much gets all of the attention."  "Well, we'll take care of that!"  So the Professor had their pic taken together and remedied that problem.  Oh, the other problem was getting Clint to let go of LoLa...

Cool and windy this morning with 15 miles visibility under mostly cloudy skies.  We did catch a lone patch of blue and you can see it there in photo #2.  Winds are out of the WNW by 13.6kts and the sea surface is bumped up.  The air temperature is 57.7° and the water is 58.3°.  High tide is at 10:14am +5.0' and low tide will be at 4:00pm +0.3'.  The buoy is reading a west swell out of 261° at 5.2' and we're calling it 3' to 5' with poor to fair shape.  In fact, it looks not that bad.  We watched Topaz for awhile and saw what looked like some relatively ride-able peaks shift through.  Everyone is saying that it's going to rain tomorrow, so we'll just have to wait and see how the morning stacks up.  The rain isn't supposed to hit until the afternoon...

Re:  Manhole Covers
A few weeks back you were talking about these. Here is one that I shot in New Orleans. Maybe Hermosa could spiffy theirs up a bit. I am thinking a contest where locals submit their art / ideas and then the city votes on one and swaps out the old ones. Hmmmm... how much do you think it would cost to replace every manhole cover in Hermosa Beach?
SeaWolf
(Check out the website for the East Jordan Iron Works.  They feature the New Orleans covers prominently in their advertising...  Ed.)

Very cool pics of Lola. The other guys look ok ;)
Tuscanyccr
(Yeah, he seemed quite spectacularly okay...  Ed.)

This is great news!  Kiana & I saw Grand Torino.  Mr Eastwood appeared to be dead at the end.  What a great actor!
Paver
(YES!  His regenerative powers are not to be credited.  A great patch job on most of the holes...  Ed.)

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
