Tremulous Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

YES!  After weeks of overcast skies the dawn broke sunny and bright!  Nothing like a little blue sky to cheer things up...

So under those aquamarine skies we have 20 miles visibility and little or no marine layer.  Winds will kick up early, but at checkout it was 1.2kts out of the west and smooth seas.  The air temperature is 59.2° and the water is almost the same at 60.6°.  Apparently the winds over the ocean have drug up some deeper, cooler water and it's a bit chilly out there.  Low tide dredges things out at 5:19am -1.3' and high tide is at 11:49am +4.5'.  A 7.8' tidal variation between the big swings in the evening and early morning.  The 46221 buoy is reading a W swell out of 280° true at 2.6'.  We're calling it 1' to almost 3' and fair to poor shape.  We went out at Torrance after checking Topaz and Hermosa and caught some fun little crashers.  The rising tide kinda softened things out, but the wind is early today...
