Turnpike Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys &Co...

So we're getting ready to take the train into the Big Apple this morning.  Taking the train is fun because you can just sit there and not worry about driving and the traffic and the Holland Tunnel being way under all of that water, with jets landing on it and all that stuff...

This morning under overcast skies we have 7 miles visibility and calm winds.  They'll be coming up soon out of the SSW and probably be pretty light until about 10:30am.  The sea surface is smooth.  The air temperature is 66.3° and the water is 63.0° at the 46221 buoy.  We have a SSW swell out of 204° true at 3.0'.  Since we're so far away, it's hard to see the waves, but we're guessing if you run down and take a look, there'll be something to see...

When you're on the road it's kinda fun to draw the folks that inhabit the spaces around you.  They can't catch you though - some folks get a bit of the fantods if they find out you're capturing their essence...  Here's a couple the Professor grabbed as he ate breaky in Montclair, NJ...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
