First Friday Of The Year Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

(#1)  Colorado's semi-famous "Ship Rock."  No idea how they sailed that thing in there...

Clear skies and 12 miles visibility this morning.  Winds were light offshore, like 2.7kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was 42.3 and the water is 60.3.  High tide was at 7:37am +6.1' and low tide followed at 2:51pm -0.8'.  West swell out of 262º at 2.3' and it was an inconsistent 2' to 4' with those outsides we were talking about.  Sappharua was flat, but that might change with the weather over the weekend...  keep your eyes peeled...

You can tell the surf isn't that good when there's only one guy out from Torrance Beach to the Manhattan pier.  In this case (#2) it happens to be Mr. Stutzcanhang but instead of hanging, he appears to be sitting, so now it's Mr. Stutzcansit...  In his defense a wave would come through every 5 minutes or so, but unless you were tuned in, you would be too far:  out, in, north, or south...

Riding close to the rail (#3) we have Kimmy-Suz, Caroline and Jah Morgan.  We stole this rail photo idea from Jetski and we're hoping he sees imitation as the sincerest form of flattery.  If he doesn't, we expect a call from his lawyer...  For those sharp eyed readers, can you spot the anomaly in this photo?

Malloy's at 5:30pm...  That is all..

Except for the anomaly in photo #3...  you guessed it!   Jah Morgan has her yoga pants on backwards!
