Amen Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

A little chilly on Saturday morning, but that didn't deter these stalwart souls from their baptismal ablutions.  We started thinking that if we had to get baptized, the water would have to be at least 72°.  So maybe we're classified as "summer Christians?"  Of course we might be wishing for some of that 64° water where we're going!

Some evening showers cleaned the air this morning and we have unlimited visibility across the bay.  The sky is currently partly cloudy, but they're suggesting there might be another chance of showers later this morning.  Winds are full onshore by 10.5kts and the sea surface has a medium chop going.  The air temperature at checkout was 59.1° and the water is 63.3°.  High tide is at 9:32am +6.5' and low tide will be at 4:56pm -0.7'.  The 46221 buoy is reading a west swell out of 265° at 4.6'.  The waves are a crashy 3' to 4' and it looks like if the wind stopped right now, there might be some possibilities.  We checked it early (which is a hell of a lot easier to do with the time change!) trying to beat the high tide.  It currently looks shut down, but if things calm down in a couple of hours it could work...
