Black Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Livin' in the city...
Livin' in the country...

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

A beautiful day for a "Black Friday."  20 miles visibility under sunny but hazy skies.  Winds are off by 4.1kts and the sea surface is smooth to glassy.  The air temp is a ch-ch-chilly 48.1° (Eagle, is an even chillier 21.2°, brrr...) and  the water has dropped a couple of ticks since Wednesday to 57.0°.  Get those booties out of mothballs!  Low tide starts early at 5:19am +2.9' and high tide will follow at 11:26am +5.4'.  The buoy is reading a 234° SW swell at 1.3'.  Looking like knee-slappers from here.  Get some coffee, settle down with the paper and we'll be back on Tuesday!  Oh yeah, go shopping!

From Utah...
We are in Utah and sharing the same temp's as you. Layered up and took Maggie on some nice snowshoe walks, but not planning to ski until tomorrow. I heard it was 47 at home and somehow that seems worse than 7 in Utah. Amazing how much tighter the homes are built here so heat actually stays in a house! At home I would be freezing!
Happy Thanksgiving. Hope to see you at the beach soon!
