Thermalized Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Thermalized?  We're talking carmelized!  It was 74° at 6:30am.  It's supposed to get up to 93° in Redondo today!  If that's not enough we have a luncheon to attend this afternoon and it's suits and ties!  Arrgghhh!  NO, we're not kidding...  Meanwhile Ronnie is staying cool, having a bit of breaky at the counter.  Hey, there's an endorsement - he eats his own stuff!  Birdie's in the background nibbling on a Triple...

Clear skies and 25 miles visibility this morning.  Winds are offshore by 3.6kts and the sea surface is smooth.  The air temp is 74° and the water isn't responding to the heat, so it's still 64.2°.  High tide is at 8:04am +6.6' and low tide will follow at 2:51pm -0.6'.  Big tidal swing today.  The 46221 buoy is reading a WSW swell out of 252° true by 3.6'.  The swell is in a better direction this morning so things look stronger.  The avenues still have too much tide, but might respond favorably as it drops.  Hermosa was block long walls with unhappy endings.  Keep checking.  The wind is supposed to stay off all day and just maybe the tidal drop will help things.

Since he can't keep still, we snagged a photo of the Professor's latest project.  He's refinishing a pair of old wooden skis for exhibit in the Burke manse in Boise.  They're looking good.

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
