Happy Thanksgiving Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you dedicated surfistas out there!  We're thankful that you guys are out there and that we have the privilege to be your buds!  Here's to another great fall-winter season!

The buoy is telling us that the swell has dropped precipitously, but it remains a beautiful morning with 25 miles visibility and clear skies.  Keeks is watching from the 11th floor of the Topaz International Trump Tower Suites and she's telling us that winds are calm and the sea surface is smooth.  She says it's a bit chilly on the lanai at 47.3° (it just happens to be 7° here in Eagle, Idaho) and the water temperature is 57.9°.  High tide is at 10:31am +5.9' and low tide will follow at 6:09pm -0.4'.  The 46221 buoy is reading a west swell out of 276° at 3.0'.  Looks like it's 1' to 3', but check your favorite spot and see if there's a bit of juice left.

We got a couple of reports yesterday, so lets take a look...
Very nice waves and conditions both yesterday and today (11/24.)  Today a little gnarlier.  I am talking only about Torrance Beach.  I imagine your spot, Topaz, was pretty nice today.  At Torrance today, large A-frame peaks racing towards the beach and pitching out to form some beautiful nice tubes.  Wasn't the best long board day, I ate shit twice on two critically steep take-offs.  Luke on the other hand, and all the other hot young short boarders, were having a field day.  Yesterday was a really nice long board day at Torrance Beach.  Anthony and I surfed a couple of hours and caught lots of nice long lefts and a few good rights too.  Sunny, off-shore, beautiful.  Hope you're having fun in Idaho.  Sounds like that storm was a major deal and is causing havoc in the Rockies today.  Happy Thanksgiving!   Tyrone James...

A high of 7 above here today in Brianhead - lots of snow - watching out for the black ice.  I'm going to watch out for the Norwegian and Portuguese ice as well!
Buck
(Wait - shouldn't that be Brian from Buckhead?  All things considered, Hawaiian shaved iced is our fave...   Ed.)

Bustin' down the door to the Thanksgiving feast, the Professor grabs the wrong hat and pisses off the Indians.  It turns out that he pissed the pilgrims off as well, so he's doing a time-out in the corner until after dinner...

Finally, a bit of an art shot of some frozen pond detritus...  could'a been a shot of the galaxy from the Hubble telescope...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
