You Look Like I Need A Drink Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

No, that's not the abominable snowman!  That's just Adam Davenport sanding some fresh blades over at Becker's.  It's just that the respirator and that fluffy coating of dust makes him look a bit ominous!  We heard today that he does it all;  shapes, glasses, sands, polishes.  Just the kind of guy you want around...

A bright sunny day today with 25 miles visibility under clear skies.  Winds were offshore all morning and the sea surface was glassy.  The air temp was a chilly 49.6° at checkout and the water was 60.3°.  Low tide was at 7:38am +3.3' and high tide will follow at 1:07pm +4.4'.  The buoy is reading a west swell out of 265° at 3.0' and we're calling it 2' to 3' and a bit wally and crashy.  Doesn't look like it will hold for tomorrow, but don't take our word for it...

If you want to see a good show and just happen to like Randy Newman's songs, then you want to get down to the Mark Taper Forum and catch, "Harps and Angels."  It's a great medley of his greatest hits and a few other odds and ends thrown in.  Much to our surprise Graham Fenton (Alec's bro) is an understudy for a couple of the main parts.  If one of the leads really does break a leg, we'll have to head back and catch Graham.  You might recall that he played Frankie Valli in the traveling "Jersey Boys" show.
